this little fella was at the christmas tree farm up in the adirondacks where we bought the most perfect tree. the overpriced tree stand outside the cvs in brooklyn should seriously consider getting one of these. it might make the $75 you shell out for a 4 foot tree a little easier to stomach if you get to pet a little burro while you're at it.
thanksgiving was wonderful, though, and i'm inspired to get a jump on some handmade christmas presents. i'm really missing the convenience of the fabric stores in iowa. i know that new york has some of the most incredible sewing resources, but when you just want some interfacing and a zipper you don't want to get on a train and battle manhattan crowds. i do miss iowa, and not just for the convenience of the joann fabric stores on every corner.
off to decorate the tree and drink a little too much bourbon for a week night.
